A fridge can represents 16% of the energy consumption of a house, some tips to reduce the consumption are the following:
Tip 1
Don’t fill too much the fridge, the more you fill your fridge the less it will be effective! Try to keep food that can last long out of the fridge for example: fruits or potatoes.
Tip 2
Don't leave the door open, you will just loose electricity! If you are taking something out of the fridge close the door after, not only will your food rot less but it will save energy, as opening and closing a fridge takes a lot of energy.
Tip 3
This might be a simple tip but making sure the door is closed properly is very important. It will save your energy consumption .
